What is plagiarism and how can I avoid it?
According to Marriam-Webster, plagiarism is:
to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own : use (another's production) without crediting the source
Plagiarism can go much deeper than this and the Avoiding Plagiarism one-hour workshop will help students learn about different types of plagiarism and ways to avoid plagiarism in assignments. The Library created this workshop because they don't think students plagiarize on purpose and want to empower students during the research and writing process.
